Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2026

The Misfit Mafia Foundation ("we," "us," "our") is an Illinois-based 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to emergency services education and training. This policy explains what information we collect through this website and how we use it.

Information We Collect

Event submissions. When you submit a training event, we collect the event details you provide (title, dates, location, topics) along with your optional contact email and event website link.

Contact form. When you contact us, we collect your name, email address, and department or organization.

Accounts. If you create an account (for team members and editors), we store your email address to sign you in. You may also sign in with Google, in which case Google shares your basic profile information with us.

Donations. Donations are handled directly by Venmo. We never see or store your payment card or bank details — those stay with Venmo under Venmo's own privacy policy.

How We Use Information

  • Review and publish training events to our public calendar
  • Respond to your messages and questions
  • Recognize sponsors and donors who have agreed to public recognition
  • Manage editor accounts for our team

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone.

What Is Public

Approved event submissions are displayed publicly on our calendar, including the event website link if you provide one. Contact emails submitted with events are visible only to our administrators and are never published.

Data Storage and Security

Your information is stored in our secure cloud database with access controls. Only authorized team administrators can view submissions and contact messages. We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above.

Your Choices

You may ask us to correct or delete your information at any time by contacting us through our Contact page. If you have an account, you may request its deletion the same way.

Children

This website is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes and Contact

We may update this policy from time to time; the "last updated" date above reflects the latest version. Questions? Reach us through the Contact page or on Facebook or Instagram.
